A sad day Mike but one we will all experience. I intended to be there to honor you but my age had other ideas. I met you when asked to babysit you about 1950 when you were a cute little blond haired boy. We were never close after that time as we grew up and moved different directions.

I hope you had a wonderful life and the future even brighter.

Country music says it best: i have seen my last tomorrow, from the song "Lead. Me home".

Mike was a courages guy, one who served his country with honor. A guy who in his own quiet way

pursued the will to come back to Iowa City to meet up with his classmates. It was a time of renewed memories.

May his family and classmates in quiet moments find peace in remembering all those happy memories shared with Mike.
