Jenni was one of my closest friends during university. As we were both quite studious, we spent more Saturdays than most getting to the library first thing to make sure we secured “our” table. One of us would get snacks, one of us would claim the table. Some of my fondest memories at Valpo are of hanging out with Jenni. She was such a vibrant and lively person, most of the time, if you were with her, you were having fun. I haven’t seen her since we graduated as I moved abroad, but she was always someone I planned to stay in some sort of contact with indefinitely.
My greatest sympathies to all her family and closest friends. It has been sad enough for me, as someone really very removed at this point, and I cannot imagine how you are all managing to cope. Her light shone so bright, its so unfair for it to have gone out so soon. But she lives on in her friends, family, and the people she saved. We will all see her smile hear her laugh again someday.
