Condolences
I so miss Mary and her sense of humor. She was a wonderful person to be around. She was very kind hearted and would do her best to be supportive. She is the first person I ever heard compare something to “chicken lips”. And I absolutely love the story that one of her boys enjoyed wedding mass because the guy in the dress was giving out pringles . You will be dearly missed Mary. Rest In Peace my friend. Dianna Reuter
Mary was a very caring and giving woman. She loved her family and cared deeply for her patients and co-workers. I worked with her in hospice and remember her talking about her sons and her work as a first responder. Prayers to her family and friends. Joan Wethington
I can't think of Mary without smiling. A caring soul who loved life and helping others. She came to my rescue many times! My thoughts go out to her family. Maggie
Deepest condolences to Mary’s family and friends. She was a joyful and caring soul. I worked with her at Iowa City Hospice. Mary would always make everyone laugh during team meetings. She had a delightful sense of humor. She truly loved her family and community. She knew that I loved to cook with horseradish and every year went out of her way to share a gift of her homegrown horseradish with me. Mary will be remembered and missed.
I worked with Mary when she provided hospice care. I will always remember her smile, laugh, and care and concern for the patients she served. She was a very giving soul. My heart goes out to her family at this time.
So sorry to hear about Mary. She was larger than life, and I will never forget that one of a kind laugh. My thoughts and prayers are with her family.
Mary was a light that brightened anyone's day! She always had a smile on her face and so enjoyed being around people! The first time I met Mary was when I was orienting her to Case Management for hospice. She was sitting in my car and every few minutes she would shake her soda. ( with the lid on of course) she would then take a sip and say, I am not suppose to have soda, so if I shake it, then technically it isn't soda and I like the taste! This was Mary. If she set her mind to something she would find a way to get it done! I have only seen Mary in passing since she left Iowa City Hospice, but somehow it was always reassuring to know that she was around. Mary will be GREATLY missed!
I worked with Mary at hospice and know what a kind and caring soul she was. I loved hearing stories of all the huge dinners she would make for charity. The world is a dimmer place without her light and she will be missed. My condolences to her family and friends. Michelle Weckmann
