Obituary of Linda Mutchler

Linda Anne Mutchler, age 74, passed away November 3, 2021 in Wellman, Iowa. Linda’s family will receive guests at Gay and Ciha Funeral and Cremation Service (2720 Muscatine Ave., Iowa City) on Wednesday, November 10, from 12-2 PM, followed by a graveside committal at Memory Gardens Cemetery. Linda was born November 12, 1946 in Iowa City, Iowa, the daughter of Nate and Anne (Brojir) Mutchler. Linda was very strong willed and had a very generous and loving heart. She had a love for animals and always had them in her life. She enjoyed spending time volunteering at the Iowa City Animal Shelter where she adopted all three of her current cats which were like family to her. Linda enjoyed helping others, she liked to help out at the Mark Twain elementary school assisting the children in the afterschool programs. She enjoyed bowling when she was younger. Linda loved Christmas and would paint Christmas ornaments to give to friends and family. Linda’s presence was a blessing to those who knew her. She will be truly missed. Surviving Linda is her sister, Mary Kaye (the late Michael) Corso; niece and nephews, Paul (Amanda) Corso, Nathan Corso and Stephanie (Bryan Rightnour) Mutchler; and seven great nieces and nephews. Sadly, Linda is preceded in death by her parents, Nate and Anne; and sister, Karen Mutchler. Memorial contributions in Linda’s memory are suggested to the Iowa City Animal Shelter.
