Obituary of Terry Lee Fowler

Terry Lee Fowler, 63 of Iowa City died Friday, August 31, 2012, at the Veterans Administration Medical Center in Iowa City. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, September 6, 2012, at Gay & Ciha Funeral and Cremation Service in Iowa City. Burial with military honors will be held at Oakland Cemetery in Iowa City. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Online condolences may be sent for his family through the web @ www.gayandciha.com. Terry was born February 26, 1949 in Iowa City, the son of Charles and Mary M. (Dolezal) Fowler. During the Vietnam War he served in the United States Air Force. He has worked in the heating and air conditioning business most of his adult life. Has lived in this area most of his life, and for the past two and half months of his illness, he has been under the care of his brother, Charles. His family includes his siblings, Norma Jean (Mackey) Rouse of Ohio; Lois Gerard (Gerald) of Iowa City, Charles J. Fowler of Solon; and Cindy Lee Madsen (Jeff) of West Branch; 11 nieces and nephews, 21 great-nieces and nephews, and 5 great-great-nieces and nephews.
