Condolences
Dear Terry, my much-loved brother-in-law, I treasure the memory of the little gifts and mementos you gave me and Chuck whenever you returned from trips. Who else would actually bring a bob-tailed kitten all the way back from Florida. "Tigger" was the best "gift" and a constant reminder of you. I loved giving you hugs and calling you my "Brudder". You were always there to help me when I had some emergency, like my car broke down, and I couldn't get ahold of Chuck. You said, "I told him he should stay home and take care of his wife". Thank you, dear brother, for standing up for me. I'm so glad I was able to help with your apartment and give you some home cooking when you got sick. We had some of our best talks during that time. It broke my heart that I could not continue helping and caring for you, but it was impossible. You always had a good heart, so I will see you on the other side of tomorrow. Can't wait to hear your latest story or joke.
Terry and I had many coffee and lunch dates this past year. I have enjoyed my professional relationship with Terry thanks to his passion of life and the Promise of Metlife. Terry has a Heart of Gold and I enjoyed everyone one of is stories. We could relate to similar wild adventures even though most of his were years ago. Of course Terry said a century ago. lol :) Terry always made me smile and laugh and I only hope through our Hyvee coffee breaks that he felt as much compassion, love and laughter from his Metlife family. Thank you Terry and family for letting me get to know Terry these past 2 years. It is always a blessing. God bless you and your families and know that Terry is where there is no pain and suffering just laughter and peace. Love Jerica
I am greatly saddened at the news of Terrys passing. Having met him through my dad and the Iowa City Pool League many years ago we spent many hours of enjoyment together. More recently when he would come in to the VAMC for treatments and proceedures. I am glad we became reaquainted at this time.
I remember many good times working together at a moments' notice when the local "watering hole" bar needed a helping hand. Terry was alot of fun. Great memories. May you rest in peace old friend.
My prayers and thoughts go to all of Terry's family and friends at this time. Terry was one of the sweetest guys I will ever meet. The Lord has gained another great person to watch over us. The Lord only takes the best and they got one. Will miss Terry very much.
Terry was and always be one big teddy bear of a man! He always had a hug for me whenever I seen him, and my thoughts & prayers are with his family at this time. Heaven has gained another angel, and his family has another Guardian Angel watching down on them now! R.I.P. Terry I will miss you very much!
My thoughts are with you in your time of sorrow, Terry was a great man. I use to hear about him from my mom and all the stories from when they went to school together and that they had known each other forever. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
I still find myself thinking that I'm going to visit you and bring you some deviled eggs. I'm so glad that we had the opportunity to spend the afternoon and evening together less than a week before you left us. You're one of a kind, Terry, and I've been fortunate that you were part of my life. You know I love you and miss you.
