Obituary of Michele A. Murphy

Michele A. “Shelly” Murphy, 41 of rural Oxford, died Thursday, July 13, 2006 at her home. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm, Monday, July 17, 2006 at Gay & Ciha Funeral and Cremation Service, Iowa City. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 pm, Sunday, July 16, 2006 at the funeral home. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery, Tiffin, Iowa. Memorials may given in Shelly’s memory for her children. Online condolences for Shelly’s family may be sent through our website @ www.gayandciha.com. Shelly was born June 20, 1965 in Iowa City, the daughter of Warren and Jean Murphy. She graduated from Lone Tree High School. Shelley worked Rockwell Collins in Coralville. Shelly enjoyed boating and camping, but mostly spending time with her children, Racheal and TJ. Shelly’s family includes her daughter, Racheal and son, Tyler, “TJ”, both at home; her mother Jean Murphy of Lone Tree; sisters, Deb Murphy of Indiana, Terri Jenn and her husband, Larry of Riverside, Cindy VanderLinden and her husband, Gary of Lone Tree, and Chris Murphy of Iowa City; brothers, Mike Murphy and Danny Murphy, both of Iowa City. Shelly was preceded in death by her father.
