Obituary of Elwood R. Yenter

Elwood R. Yenter, 85, of Iowa City died Saturday, July 15, 2006 at Lantern Park Care and Rehab Center, Coralville. Funeral services will be 10:30 am, Wednesday, July 19, 2006 at Gay & Ciha Funeral and Cremation Service, Iowa City. Visitation will be from 4 to 6 pm Tuesday, July 18, 2006 at the funeral home. Elwood Yenter was born June 15, 1921 in Des Moines Iowa. Elwood married Lucille Schmidt in August of 1953 in Iowa City; she preceded him in death on January 17, 2000. Elwood worked for the University of Iowa in the Physical Plant. Elwood’s family includes two sons, Craig of Coralville and Keith of Iowa City. Elwood was preceded in death by his parents and wife.
