Obituary of Lucille Hipp Clark
Lucille R. Hipp Clark, age 77 formerly of Iowa City died Tuesday, June 6, 2006, at the Colonial Manor Care Center in Amana. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, June 9, 2006, at the Oakland Cemetery in Solon, Iowa with the Reverend Robert Gebel officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made in Lucilles memory to Our Redeemer Lutheran Church, Iowa City Hospice or Heritage Agency on Aging. Lucille Rose Hipp was born January 14, 1929, in the Big Grove Township of Johnson County, Iowa, the daughter of Levi and Merle Henrietta (Turkal) Hipp. She attended Big Grove Township School and graduated from Solon High School in 1946. For many years she worked at Economy Advertising, and later for Moore Business Forms both of Iowa City. In later years she did home health care for the elderly. She was formerly a member of Zion Lutheran Church and presently a member of Our Redeemer Lutheran Church both of Iowa City, also former member of the Oxford American Legion Auxiliary, Eagles Lodge in Iowa City and O.E.S. Her family includes a sister, Doris Hoyt and her husband, James of Oxford; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and 2 sisters, Dorothy Studt, and Arlene Hipp. Gay & Ciha Funeral and Cremation Service of Iowa City is caring for Lucilles family and her services.
