Obituary of Emil L. Jindrich

Emil L. Jindrich, age 90 of North Liberty died at his home on Thursday, April 27, 2006. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, May 1, 2006, at Gay & Ciha Funeral and Cremation Service in Iowa City. Burial will be at the Ridgewood Cemetery in North Liberty. Visitation will be after 1:30pm Monday until services at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made in Emil’s memory to the North Liberty Fire Department and First Responders. Emil Lawrence Jindrich was born April 28, 1915, in rural Johnson County, Iowa the son of Frank and Eleanor (Dibisnek) Jindrich. He married Edith “Marie” Roup on February 1, 1939, in Marengo, IA. The couple had been longtime North Liberty area farmers. His family includes a son, Robert Jindrich and his wife, Joan of West Branch; granddaughters, Robin Jindrich Cecil and her husband, Mike Cecil of West Branch, and Jodi Berhow and her husband, Mark of Washington, IA; three great-grandchildren, Brock, Anna, and Ben. Emil was preceded in death by his parents, wife, a son, Ronald, and brothers, Leo and Godfrey Jindrich.
