I've been doing Odness family genealogy. This family was from Iowa County, Wisconsin and Dane County, Wisconsin. My 2nd great grandfather was Christopher Olsen Odness and his sister was Anne Olsen. Anne married Christian Gorder. Their daughter Clara Gorder married Thorvald Thompson. They divorced, or at least that's my understanding. I have a picture of a Gorder-Odness reunion dated 1939 along with the newspaper article about the reunion. In the picture are my great grandmother Oline 'Lena' (Odness) Topper, her two sisters Julia and Bessie, and their cousins Mina, Clara and Hannah. Just wanted to say hello to distant kin. Genevieve sounds like quite an accomplished woman.
