Obituary of Shirlee S. Henderson

Her family includes her daughter and son-in-law, Jana Tritto and Jim Brand of Rathdrum, ID; and their children, Aaron, Dana, Joshua, Matthew, Stacey, Richard, Tom, Anna, Christine, and Heather; her son and daughter-in-law, Charles E. Henderson and Nancy Beyer of Iowa City; and their son, Joseph Henderson of Iowa City; and a brother, Douglas Snell of Faribault, MN. Shirlee was born May 14, 1922 in Faribault, Minnesota the daughter of Frank and Anna (Thompson) Snell. In 1946, she moved from Faribault to Buffalo, NY. Here she raised her family, and later became associated with the Buffalo-Amhurst Allergy Clinic working for over thirty years before retiring. In Buffalo, she was a very active member of St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church. In November of 1998, she moved from Buffalo to Iowa City to be near her family. In Iowa City, she was a member of Trinity Episcopal Church, and enjoyed volunteering at the Iowa City Library. Memorial donations can be made in Shirlee’s memory to Iowa City Hospice.
