Obituary of Robert D. Kupka

Robert D. Kupka, age 84 of 65 Turner Circle, North Liberty died Wednesday, March 9, 2005 at University of Iowa Hospitals & Clinics. Memorial services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday March 12, 2005 at the First United Methodist Church in North Liberty. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the Gay & Ciha Funeral & Cremation Service in Iowa City. In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to the Robert Kupka Memorial Fund. Online condolences may be sent for Robert’s family through our website @www.gayandciha.com. Robert was born August 5, 1920 in Riverside, Iowa, the son of Edward and Myrtle (Manasmith) Kupka. He married Jean Campbell on April 5, 1941 at Alexandria, Louisiana. During the WWII Robert served overseas with the Red Bull Division of Army National Guard of Iowa City. His family includes his wife, Jean, a son, Chuck and wife, Jan of Cedar Rapids, a daughter, Sheri Fletcher and husband, Gary of Coralville, 7 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren, 3 brothers, Kenneth and wife, Helen of Cedar Rapids, Jim of Denison, Texas and Gene and wife, Faith of Phoenix, Arizona, and a sister Shirley Moodie and husband, Bill of Costa Mesa, California.
