Obituary of Dorothy Graham
Dorothy Graham age 86 formerly of Tiffin and North Liberty, died Sunday, June 12, 2005 at the Solon Nursing and Rehab Center. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, June 15, 2005, at the Grace United Methodist Church in Tiffin with the Reverend Beverly Marshall-Goodell officiating. Burial will be at the Oak Hill Cemetery in Tiffin. Visitation will be from 5 to 8pm Tuesday at the Gay & Ciha Funeral and Cremation Service in Iowa City. A memorial fund has been established in Dorothys memory. Online condolences may be sent for her family through our website @www.gayandciha.com. Dorothy Rockwell Graham was born February 21, 1919, in rural Mahaska County, Iowa the daughter of Milo and Jessie (Byrd) Rockwell. She married John P. Graham on July 16, 1938, in Oskaloosa, Iowa. For nearly twenty years, she worked at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. The couple lived in Tiffin for over forty years before moving to North Liberty. In July of 2000, the couple moved to the care center in Solon. John died February 10, 2003. She was a member of the Grace United Methodist Church in Tiffin, she enjoyed watching Iowa Hawkeye Sports, and the Chicago Cubs, but the most important part of her life was her family. Dorothys family includes, daughters and their husbands, Sally and Steve Simpson and Johnita and Ron Langenberg all of Tiffin; son, James Graham; grandchildren, Lisa and her husband, Glenn Gerard, Stephanie Horning, Lori and her husband, Mike Stopko, Susan and her husband, Chad Robeoltman, and Jake Graham; great-grandchildren, Nash Stopko, Beau Gerard, Mitchell Stopko, Lauren Stopko, Cooper Horning, Zachary Robeoltman, Taylor Robeoltman, and Nickolas Gerard; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, John; four brothers and five sisters. Gay & Ciha Funeral and Cremation Service is caring for Dorothys family and her services.
