Obituary of Viola Tupper

Viola H Tupper, 95, of Iowa City, died Tuesday, November 15, 2005 at Iowa City Health Care and Rehabilitation Center, Iowa City. Funeral services will be private at Gay and Ciha Funeral and Cremation Service, Iowa City. In lieu of flowers, Viola’s family asks that memorials be given in her name. Viola was born November 24, 1909 in Freistadt, Wisconsin to Robert and Ida (Wagenknecht) Krueger. She married George Tupper July 26, 1930 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He preceded her in death December 27, 1964. She lived most of her life in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, moving to Iowa City in 1993. Viola was a member of Our Redeemer Lutheran Church, Iowa City. Viola’s family includes a son, Donald and wife Kay of Iowa City; grandson Bryan and companion, Linda; granddaughter, Marcie Tucker and husband, Bruce Stott; great grandchildren, Merritt and Madeline; and an extended family of six grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren and 1 great-great granddaughter.
