Brother Carl acquainted me with the joys of horseback riding, using Western style saddles, during our UTS days (1978-1980).

Reliable friend, wry sense of humor and easy going manner, are words I would use to characterize Carl. Friends don't come any better than Carl Swearson. God gave him a double portion of blessing when Georgianna came into his life. Please know that you and your wonderful extended family will stay in our hearts eternally. Bon Voyage, Carl. We will see you on the other side of this life.

Carl was an incredible human being, and truly a man of God. We had the honor of working with him throughout many years of his life, and he was always supportive and full of N.Dakotan humor. In spite of all the great things he did as leader, he was always a humble man. He will be greatly missed on this earth, but surely will be welcomed into Heaven with open arms. May God bless you and your dear family.
