Obituary of Shirley L. Westcott

Shirley L. Westcott, age 83, of Iowa City, died Saturday, August 10, 2024, at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics Downtown Campus.

Shirley was born April 12, 1941, in Alhambra, CA, the daughter of Vernon and Helen (Jensen) Olson. She was united in marriage to Albert Westcott on August 22, 1959, at the Little Brown Church in Nashua, Iowa. Their family includes children, Kenneth Westcott, Kevin Westcott (Jennifer) and Carrie Westcott; grandchildren, Kayla, Logan, Kirsten and Danny; step-grandchildren, Brittany (Dakota), Danielle (Paul), Anna; great-grandchildren Kensley; and great-step-grandchildren, Henry, Raelynn and Noah.

Shirley was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Albert, sister, Donna.

Private family services will be held at a later date with burial at the North Scott Township Cemetery in rural Johnson County.
