My mom, Dona Petsel, went to school with Dorothy and also lived at Oaknoll until she died in 2016. Dorothy was kind and generous. She encouraged mom to get involved at Oaknoll. She was a gift to our family. You are in my thoughts and prayers. Jill Petsel
Karen and Bob, I got to know Dorothy when my mother was in the health center a couple of years ago. She frequently dropped in on my mother to visit and revisit times they knew each other 40+ years ago whom they knew mutually through Alice Forker. She was delightful and lifted spirits frequently. I am so sorry for your family’s loss.
Despite knowing your parents for most of our lives, the fondest and most recent memories are from when both our mothers were living at Oaknoll. Dorothy was so supportive of our mother when our dad (Wayne) was in the care center. And when Betty was living in her own apartment on George Street, we would frequently see Dorothy and perhaps Bob in the dining room. She was a kind & comforting lady who we are so grateful to have known. So sorry for your loss.
