Obituary of Annice Wilson-Hill

Annice Wilson-Hill “Niecy” was born July 4, 1953, in Chicago, IL, to Julius & Annie Lois Barnes (whom both also preceded her in death) at Cook County Hospital. Niecy accepted Christ at an early age. She attended John C. Haines elementary school in China Town in Chicago as a child. She attended Wendell Phillips High School but went on to get her GED and CAN certificate as a young adult. Niecy held down many jobs throughout her years such as a school bus driver, CNA, home care provider, food service and finally a homemaker. She loved her cowboy movies and TV shows, especially drama shows. And when it came to music, Niecy loved her dusties especially Bobby Blue Bland. Niecy also loved to dance and spend time with her family.

Niecy leaves to cherish her fond memories to her husband, Sidney Hill, (her ex-husband Thomas Jordan Sr., who also preceded her in death). All of their children, Pauline, Thomas Jr., Sherlyene (Orlando), Ja’Nene (Bryan), David (Tatiana), Devon (Darnisha), Sidney Jr., and Sybil. Two God children, Antwan Goldsmith and Tiara Bell (CJ, her lead-bottom). She had special bonds with her grandsons Sayvonne and Kendrick and granddaughter Josslynns (JJ.) Niecy also leaves to cherish her memories with her siblings Ramona (James), Alice (Floyd), Sheila (Leon) Jewel, Andre (Deniece), Angela (Lamont) and Coretta. And a host of grandkids, great-grandkids, nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews whom all she loved dearly.

On May 11, 2024, Niecy made her peaceful transition from her home in Iowa to her new home with God.

A gathering for family and friends will be held from 1-6 pm on Saturday, June 8, 2024, at 6/Nineteen Event Venue, 12516 S. Ashland Avenue, Calumet Park, Illinois.

A second service will be held on Saturday, June 15, 2024, at in Charles City, Iowa.  Times and place will be announced.
