Condolences
To all the Barnes family
Children, grandchildren , great grandchildren, friends and neighbours , so sorry for your loss.
Bud was such a genuine loving man, who loved his family , the land , his friends and community.
He always made us feel so much part of the family and we felt very privileged to be included in your family celebrations. Andrew and Steven always loved coming to the farm , when we visited, during our time in Iowa Steven always loved a good bonfire !
May he rest in peace along with his wife Barbara, and sons Tim and Steve .
Much love and bless and wishing family all the strength to get through this difficult time.
Sending our condolences to you all

To Linda and family. So sorry for your loss of your dad. He will be missed by all. God bless you all.
It was with great sadness that we learned of Uncle Bud's passing. I have many great memories of being out on the farm during summer vacation- going fishing, making hay, boy was it HOT out in those fields, and we always stopped about 10 o'clock for a bologna and miracle whip sandwich washed down with a Pepsi cola, and pheasant hunting in the fall.
We really enjoyed them coming to visit us when we lived in South Carolina and then Later on out here in Arizona.
Uncle Bud always had a big grin and an ornery twinkle in his eye, and I'll always remember that about him.
I wish we could be there. Larry, Bruce and Linda - Carolyn and I are keeping you in our thoughts.
Love, Bill and Carolyn Barnes

To the Barnes family.
I have known you all more or less from the day I was born. You are my Iowa family, always talk about my adopted family, and the loss of Bud is immensely sad. We were blessed with having him for so long, and given my recent loss of our Leny, it all comes at a time we realize we have now become the oldest generation.
Bud (and Barbara) were like parents to me, from my first in person visit back in 1977, through my year at Coe College and during all the years during shorter and longer visits/stays. They were this rock together, supporting all the folks around them, whether their own children or those, like me, who came passing through. Kind hearted, full of fun and joy, never was anything to much if they could help, they would!
The last of a generation has now passed to finally join the one he loved and missed, his Barb.
RIP Bud, you are one human being who will be sorely missed!

From the very first time in 1979 when I visited Iowa for the first time the Barnes family became my non-biological family. My siblings and I spent many summers at the farm. Barb was one of my mom's best friends and pen pals since the end of WWII. Bud has been like a father to me and he was a good listener who didn't need many words to share his wisdom. He will be missed, but he earned his journey to the eternal light. I wish all my Barnes siblings, nephews, and nieces and grand nephews and nieces all the strength.

I was fortunate enough to meet Bud later in his life when he would come to visit his Las Vegas family. It was my honor to get to know such a kind man. You will be missed. My sincere condolences to his family!
I was so sorry to hear of Bud’s passing. He was such a great man and kind soul! I have such fond memories of going to the farm to visit Bud and Barbara with Tim - especially when there were puppies! Bud and Barbara were always so welcoming and friendly. My thoughts and prayers are with all of the Barnes family.
