I miss seeing Marlys at church. She was such a kind, gentle soul. I am watching her funeral online and I love the music she picked. My prayers are with her children and their families as you grieve.

Marlys always would greet us at Gloria Dei even if she was sitting in her pew waiting for church to start. Her smile and “Hood Morning” brightened our day.

I have such good memories of Marlys. All the years we worked together and walked together at lunch times! Our trip to China and our cruise on her birthday in Hong Kong Harbor, sitting on the floor in the front row at Preservation Hall to hear the music, walking at the Homestead Trail to see wildflowers. We were there to support each other for many years. She was smart, kind and fun, always, in her quiet way. Please accept my sympathy and inability to attend the service. We are out of town.
