I love Ryta and will dearly miss you. I have fond memories over the last 47 years knowing you and being part of the Piper family. The love you showed me, my daughters & grandchildren will be treasured forever.
When I was little she use to take my sister and I to Randall’s for donuts and chocolate milk. We got to have sleepovers at her house and ate crackers in her bed. Nannie was known for her excellent cooking, her our favorite dish was her secret recipe of noodles, all homemade of course!
During my teenage years, Nannie and Grandpa would be found supporting me in all of my school events and dance recitals.
As I got older and had kids of my own, Nannie and my Aunt Pam would always be the first ones to come and visit me in hospital after I gave birth to my children. She was always excited to meet the new member of the family. Throughout my time as a stay at home mom, I would visit Nannie quite frequently with my kids. She had an ice cream cup to share with my kids and a lap waiting to hug each of them. I enjoyed seeing Nannie share with my kids all of the love she had given me over the years. I will always remember Nannie as a loving person, who put her family first. May she rest in peace!
