Obituary of Dale A. Yocom

Dale Arlo Yocom, age 87 of 402 E. Davenport Street, Iowa City, died Friday, June 25, 2004 at Mercy Hospital in Iowa City following a brief hospitalization. Private family graveside services will be held at Oakland Cemetery. Gay & Ciha Funeral and Cremation Service is caring for Dale’s family and his services. Mr. Yocom was born October 17, 1916 in Iowa City the son of John W. and Ida H. (Hines) Yocom. He graduated from Iowa City City High School, and joined the United States Navy. He made the navy his career, having served over twenty years during World War II and the Korean Conflict. His family includes a sister, Renetta Webster of Iowa City, and many nieces and nephews. Dale was preceded in death by his parents, and a sister Hazel Alzina
