I am so saddened to lose my friend Sue. My condolences to her family and to her friends she embraced as family. Sue’s big heart, thoughtfulness, and genuine interest in others drew people to her. No one was a stranger to Sue, who made friends wherever she went. Those of us lucky to work with her at the UIowa Libraries remember her as a professional, devoted to ensuring that library users could find and access the government documents and information they needed. She kept the GPO on its toes, especially after so many documents were made available digitally and sometimes the links broke. Sue made certain that all of our users’ information snd research needs—students, faculty , researchers, staff, and the public—were met. At the Libraries we will all miss her expertise, upbeat demeanor, and devotion to public service.
