Obituary of Luetta J. Wood

Luetta J. Wood, age 82, passed away December 12, 2023, at home in Homestead, Iowa.

Luetta was born September 16, 1941, in Mansfield, Missouri, to parents Phillip and Alma Fern (Vaughan) Loveall. She was raised in Ava, Missouri. After graduating from high school in 1959 and Luetta lived most of her live in California, Missouri before settling in Homestead, Iowa in 2017 to be closer to her family.

She was family oriented and loved spending time with her grandchildren and the family dogs. Luetta was a member of Friendship Baptist Church and First Baptist Church in California, Missouri. In her free time Luetta enjoyed reading, collecting trinkets and other memorabilia.

Luetta’s surviving family include her daughter Jacinda (Michael) Bunch; four grandchildren, Michkayla (David) Stevens, Jacquelyn (Alex) Langenhorst, Cheyaenne Bunch, and Kierstynn Bunch; a great-grandchild, Hudson Stevens; her granddogs Sesi, Molly, Tilly, and Luna; and great-granddogs Kaya, Ava, Benji, Wrangler, Bentley, Tucker.

She was preceded in death by a daughter Jacqueline Lea Wood, her parents Phillip and Alma, as well as siblings Helen Loveall Harper, Jay Lee Loveall, and Donald Eugene Loveall.

A memorial service is planned in the spring at Windmill Ridge Funeral Home in California, Missouri, with burial of ashes at Little Creek Cemetery in Hartville, Missouri.
