Obituary of Sally Engelhardt

After a long, courageous, and brave fight against cancer, the Lord called Sally home on Sunday, November 26, 2023. Born in Waverly, Iowa, Sally was one of three children born to Darrol Schweer and Betsy Steiber. She embodied the gentle, loving, and generous spirit that is synonymous with growing up in the Midwest. If you were lucky enough to be called her friend, you were also considered family. She considered her children and her grandchildren to be her greatest gift in life. She was passionate about children and animals. Guided by her servant heart, she used these passions in her careers with both the Anamosa School District and the Anamosa Vet Clinic.

Sally was preceded in death by her parents; Darrol Schweer (father), Betsy Steiber (mother), and Dan Steiber (stepfather), and her brother Kevin Schweer. She leaves behind her children; Dederic Engelhardt (Kaitlin) of Coggon, IA and Cylina Sohl (Adam) of St. Louis, MO, her grandchildren; Lincoln, Rowen, Adelynn, and Shiloh, and her brother, Jerry Schweer (Sandy) of Center Point, IA, as well as many of her close friends who meant the world to her.
