Condolences
Marcia slager
I was sad to hear of Marcia Slager’s passing. I am praying for her as she makes her way to heaven and the rest of the family here on earth.
Growing up I benefited significantly from knowing the Slager family. I have so many great memories of growing up with Susan, fun rides to school with Janie, watching movies and hanging out at the Slager house, working for Marcia and Gary painting apartments or delivering appliances and living in their apartments over the summers. I am extremely grateful for all opportunities and experiences, they are a part of who I am today.
I made a donation to Mayo Clinic hospice care in Marcia’s name. May she rest in piece.

I was sad to hear of the passing of Marcia. She was a strong and kind woman and was always good to me throughout the 15 years that I spent working summers at the store. When I needed an answer, or permission, I'd often head to her office- we all knew she was the real boss. My condolences to the Slager family. She'll be missed.
Gary and family - I am so very sorry for your loss. My deepest sympathy and prayers are with you all. I am thankful for our visit with Marcia in June - when we drove up she was working in her beautiful garden. I know how much dad cherishes and looks forward to his visits and phone calls with Marcia. She will be greatly missed.
John and Family, Thoughts and Prayers for Peace, Comfort and Memories in your loss and always.
My condolences to the Slager family - may all the wonderful memories help you navigate this difficult time.
Our thoughts and prayers to the Slager family. I was ten, cousin John was eight, Marcia 18 and sister Janie 16 were in charge of watching my siblings, John and me while Jack and Virginia and Mom and Dad went out for the evening. Marcia and sister Janie cooked us hot dogs and souerkraut. I hated the smell of sauerkraut at the age of ten. We were forced to eat it. We’ll, guess what, today I love it. Thank you Marcia and Janie for taking care of your younger brothers all these years. God bless the Slager family as they navigate this celebration of life for Marcia Slager.

To Gary and Family, I am deeply sorry for your.....and my.....loss! It saddens me to think of Marcia not there "holding down the fort" being the Matriarch she was of our extended family. I am thankful for her strong faith knowing she is in a far better place, and I like to think of her in the most beautiful garden with unending supplies of fabulous books. She was my childhood sister, my teenage mentor, and for many years, my adult advisor. I pray for your....and my....comfort and peace/
Love, Cousin Janie
