I am so sorry for your loss. Your dad and your dear aunt. I grew up across highway 6 from Darlene! We knew the Kasper family. This is Mrs. Crowley. Tell them, I was Lois Altmaier. I spent many happy times at the Kasper's at their house on Highway 6. We were on a farm across the road.

Darlene grew up next door to us on Hwy. 6 West of Tiffin. She and my older sister Mary were best friends. They graduated together at the old Tiffin High School. Sadly, my sister passed away in 2002. Some of my favorite memories are when Darlene would walk over to visit. She and Mary would talk and laugh so much and they "put up" with us 3 younger girls who followed them everywhere. Frequently she would bring her camera and snap pictures The best picture she took has now been copied and is in most of the Herring family homes. It's 3 young girls, sitting on a hayrack in front of the barn. Mary had told us to sit up there and hush up for a while. Darlene thought it was so funny she snapped the picture. She was a fun, good friend and such a nice person. Rest in Peace, Darlene. - Helen Herring Davis

Darlene was a dear friend to my mom, Dona Petsel. They met working at Sears and remained close until mom became sick with Alzheimer's. I remember many gatherings with the Kasper Family over the years. I am sorry for your loss.
