Helen was my cousin. During the last several years we spoke by phone many times. The last time we spoke she was so excited about the Iowa women's basketball team. I remember Helen when I was very young and visited her family in Burlington. I was 10 when Helen and Clayton got married in Burlington and Helen and I talked many times about the wedding. Helen and Clayton visited us in Chicago many times and we visited many times in Iowa City. Always had a great time. Helen and Clayton also visited us in Santa Barbara and Helen wanted to come back but that did not work out. Helen loved her family dearly. I will miss her and our conversations.

When Mark and I joined St Andrew Helen and Clayton greeted us and made us feel we had found “our church”. Mark also enjoyed sharing stories with them about college days at Cornell College. Heaven definitely gained a bright light when Helen arrived. Please know you have been in our prayers. MaryJo and Mark.

Helen was a delightful addition to the Voices of Experience when I was its director some 20 years ago. Rest well, Helen,; it is well deserved.

It was such a pleasure visiting with Helen during my early childhood when I would tag along with my older brother to the Ringgenberg's house to play wiffleball or MLB baseball games and later on in life when I would occasionally stop by to say hi. She always had a pleasant smile and welcoming voice. My sincerest condolences.

Dear Ringgenbergs, Your mother was so fun to be with. We enjoyed tailgate parties at Kathie Belgums. Your Dad would walk me home sometimes, gentleman that he was, But I will never watch a Jimmy Dean commercial on TV without thinking of Helen. On occasion she would call me to pick up her favorite Jimmy Dean breakfast biscuits with sausage and eggs. She loved having one ever morning. It was a fun grocery trip for me to make her happy, and she was so appreciative.

Helen was an amazing and awesome person to get to know these past 7 years at Oaknoll. I'm going to miss you Helen
