All of you Wonderful Wiilson’s will recall many shared hours together with the Vitale family.

And now I have the opportunity to share a few memories of Janice, your Mom , grandmother, etc.

- her inviting hospitality akways making you comfortable,

- her fabulous knitting

- he giggle and smile

- going together to study football at U of I. We studied the plays and laughed at our ignorance

- playing racket ball at the Fieldhouse

-sitting together for several years at football games , and keeping warm, umpteam basketball games and wresting matches which ended by going to the house where our girls often slept.

- janice’s never ending bowl sof Chex mix party mix.

- perhaps in the end just the many hours discussing life and family.often at the kitchen sink.,

Janice and Herb were just that for the vitales.. never one without the other doing wonderful things for family friends and the community.

Our last time together we did as we always, eat and share deeply what was going on in our lives

Jan served more than 2,400 hours improving the experience for patients and families at UIHC. She was a patient visitor, patient representative, and patient advocate for over a decade. Her empathetic ear, warmth and caring was a priceless gift and an inspiration to us all.

I'm sorry to learn of Janice's passing. I can imagine Herb and Janice dancing away somewhere. Rest in peace, kind lady.

Dave, Amy, & families So sorry to hear of your mother’s passing. No matter how young or old we & they are, it’s never easy. My mother passed when I was 26 & I remember it as if it were yesterday. Take care of each other. Prayers & hugs to all.
