Obituary of Norman T. Asbury

Norman T. Asbury, age 80 of Iowa City died March 19, 2023. Norman Thomas Asbury was born December 5, 1942, in Sterling, IL the son of William T. and Loraine (McCain) Asbury. Following high school he enlisted in the United States Marines Corp, serving a tour of duty during the Vietnam War. He spent most of his life working in the construction field. He enjoyed his cigarettes, gardening, animals, his independence and was known to be a pretty darn good cook. He is survived by his wife, Claudia Pospishil Asbury; daughters, Karyl Eikelberry, Stacy Summers and McKinsey Bone. Norman will be laid to rest with Military Honors at the Rock Island National Cemetery.
