Farron Lee Baxter was born November 4, 1956, in Keosauqua, Iowa the son of Charles V. and Shirley E. (Humphreys) Baxter. He attended schools in Ft. Madison, Iowa graduating from high school in 1974, he then enlisted in the United States Army serving in Germany. Returning to Ft. Madison after service he married Doris Svatos on September 5, 1981, at the Coralville United Methodist Church. The couple made their home in Iowa City later moving to North Liberty in 1986 where they have resided since. Farron worked for the University of Iowa in Preventative Maintenance for over 35 years before retirement.
Farron was a laid back type of guy who enjoyed his flip flops, casual dress and listening to Jimmy Buffet, Bob Marley, Kenny Chesney or any Blues, Jazz and Reggae music. He was an avid Harley Davidson fan and enjoyed riding motorcycles and attending bike night with his friends. He liked reading mysteries and action filled books. Traveling to Florida every year with family and friends was something he looked forward to. Near and dear to his heart was family and he liked nothing better than being called Dad and Papa.
His family includes his wife, Doris; their daughter, Heather Hunter (Kevin); their grandchildren, Addie, Brinley, Charlotte, and Brekken; brother, Vincent Baxter; and sister-in-law, Carol DeRamcy (Bill).
He was preceded in death by his parents, and brother, Richard Baxter.
