Condolences
Marjorie was a wonderful colleague at the UI Libraries. She was kind and helpful. I always knew that if I had a complicated serials question, she'd know the answer. My condolences on your loss.

Marjorie was a lovely person, a respected and devoted colleague at the UI Libraries who I was fortunate to also call my friend. She had a real passion for her work at the Libraries and contributed in so many ways over her long and distinguished career. As a friend, she was the best -- sweet, thoughtful, dependable and just a joy to know. Thank you, Jeff, for making it possible for her to live out her later years in her lovely home. My condolences to all of you.
Like so many of my former colleagues at the UI Libraries, I also had the pleasure of working with Marjorie over the years. She was always kind and generous towards all people. I fondly remember my first Amtrak ride with her to Philadelphia for ALA Midwinter Meeting, when we were conference roommates. Her sweet smile and warm personality will be sorely missed and forever remembered. Rest In Peace, my dear friend.
Marjorie was a truly lovely person. I worked with her at the UI libraries for many years and I don't believe I ever heard her say a negative thing about anyone. I really enjoyed spending time with her.
Chris and Sue, my condolences on your loss. I still remember attending your wedding, what a great time! Wishing you well, your classmate, Janet Larson
Marjorie was also my supervisor in the Serials Department of the University Library. She was my favorite supervisor, as she was always calm, diplomatic, and a truly nice person. I am so grateful to her for allowing me flexibility when my children were little, and also for hiring me a second time when I really needed a job. After she retired, she volunteered at the library and I would run into her. She always had a smile and would always ask about what was going on in my life. Deepest sympathy for her family.
I, too, worked with Marjorie at the UI Libraries for many, many years. She was just the kindest person, never a negative word about anyone, a great pleasure to spend time with, a fine example for us all. Please accept my sincere condolences.
I had many great supervisors at the UI Libraries, but Marjorie was the absolute best! She understood my need for a flexible schedule while I worked on my masters degree; and she helped orient me to the Serials Acquisitions Department when we had an information window on first floor, a kardex for serials check-in, and typed claims on carbon paper. My prayers are for the repose of her soul and for the consolation of family and friends grieving the loss.
