Obituary of Ronald John Godlewski

Ronald John Godlewski, age 58, passed into eternal life on May 4, 2022. He was born on June 22, 1963, in Alpena, Michigan, son of the late Joseph and Theresa Godlewski. Ron is remembered for having a wonderful sense of humor and bringing a smile to your face in the most unusual situations. He enjoyed writing books, photography, and traveling. After graduating from high school, Ron proudly served in the U.S. Navy and was stationed in Hawaii. He lived in Michigan for most of his life but spent the last five and a half years in Iowa. Ron had a deep faith in God and loved his family tremendously. He is survived by his four siblings: Rosemary (Carl) Ingrassia, Pat (Mark) Luther, Gary (Carolyn) Godlewski, and Jodi (Jack) Lavoy; as well as many nieces and nephews. A funeral Mass for Ron will be celebrated on Saturday, June 4, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 830 S. Lafayette, in South Lyon, Michigan.
