Cindy, and Jessi I still have a photo of CJ holding my granddaughter, Addison, AFTER he saw not one but 2 red socks games! The grin on his face when holding that two month old baby girl is never to be forgotten. I knew he’d make a great daddy.

I am so sorry for your loss. CJ has been my friend since highschool. I know Jess and Cindy we drove you guys crazy when we dated. We have always kept in touch. He was there when I needed someone to talk to. I was there anytime he needed me. The world lost a great person.

Cindy and family, my heart breaks for all of you. CJ was a phenomenal Dad, son, brother and friend.
Cindy I wish there was something I could say to take away your pain, but I know there are no words. I believe he is in Heaven in God’s loving arms. With all my love Katie Linnell Herring (former roommate!)

Love & prayers.
Though I only knew CJ for a brief time at West Liberty Fire Department, he was a pleasure to talk to. He had a great smile and a kind heart. He will be missed.
There are no words to trully describehow big a part of my life he was. From my longest friend to closest confidant to steadfast brother. Without him there is no amazing wife and son or career. You made my life so much better in so many ways from the joy rides in the Beretta and bronco to the trip to Cali or our last outing bowling with the kids. You will forever be missed and I promise to take all the trips we had planned and never got to take. Rest easy fella and know I am forever grateful you were my brother, love you deeply, and will forever hold on to the amazing memories I have with you.
CJ was a very close friend of mine. We even lived together for a time. He used to drive me crazy when his alarm went off at 3am every single day and it would take him a good 30-45 minutes to shut it off. His mother Cindy would come over every morning for coffee and have to holler down the stairs to make sure his alarm actually woke him up. He used to joke that he would sleep through mortar attacks in Iraq. I hope you are resting easy now, brother. You will be missed dearly. Until we meet again! <3
Cindy and Jess, I am saddened to hear the loss of CJ, he was always a nice person who helped anyone and lending a ear. The only time he didn’t like me was during cards :) but I am thinking of all of you during this time and going forward. Cherish the parts of him you will continue to have through his daughter.
We were lucky enough to speak with CJ at length at our Holiday party this last year. He spoke very highly of his position, his employer, and his co-workers. He was one of the first to arrive and I was so glad to have had the opportunity to communicate the kind words his coworkers had said about him. I didn’t know CJ well, but I will remember his positivity fondly. Prayers to his loving family and friends. ❤️
CJ was the nicest , kindest man who always had a smile and kind word to say. I enjoyed the pictures he shared on Facebook of his daughter who he was so proud of. I am going to miss that . He will be missed by many! I pray the memories you have will help get thru this difficult time. Don enjoyed working with him and said he was a hard worker and always helpful.
God Bless his family and friends,
Linnet and Don Wainwright
