I love this memory of Aunt Joyce - the cool lady in the center with the shades! This is from her visit to my Mom's (Barbara's) house in New York, Oct. 2018. Joyce was a remarkable woman who positively impacted many, many lives. She was thoughtful, intellectually curious, knowledgeable about the world, had a tremendous green thumb, considered the environment, was always learning, and had the Boehmler high energy that many of us envy. She had the ability to connect with so many, even bonding with surly teenagers over her support of Bernie Sanders! Who'd have expected the little lady from Iowa in her nineties to 'feel the Bern' but she did. I know that our family will miss her dearly and remember her with admiration. I hope we all do her memory honor by aspiring to be more like Joyce. Hugs to the Boehmlers, Blums, Feigs, Tunnicliffs, Piersons, DaSilvas, Arndts and all who loved her. Bonnie Pierson-Murphy,
