Obituary of Lorie L. Benskin

Lorie L. Benskin, age 62 formerly of Iowa City died Monday, October 25, 2021, at her home. Funeral services will be held at 10am Saturday, October 30, 2021, at Gay & Ciha Funeral and Cremation Service with burial to follow at Oak Ridge Cemetery in West Liberty. There will be an hour of visitation prior to the services at the funeral home. Lorie Lee Graham was born August 2, 1959, in Iowa City the daughter of Alfred and Loretta Bell Graham. Following high school she worked a number of various jobs in this area, retiring from the University of Iowa in the housekeeping department due to health concerns. Her family includes her two children, Nathan Benskin (Courtney Moore) and Brandy Hunt; five grandchildren, Alexis Benskin, Brenna Jo Benskin, Brayden Benskin, Blake Holderness, Dylan Norton, RaeLynn Norton; and Lorie’s sisters, Carolyn Henderson, Deb (Duane) Stock, Rhonda Lintz, Jennifer (Mark) Mohror, Jessica (Dave) Wernette,; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other family members. She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Jerry Graham and Larry Ingalls; and sisters, Kathy McPherson, Sandy Trimble, and Kitty Bothell, and nephew, Tyler Fordice.
