Obituary of Cynthia E. Anderson

Cynthia Anderson passed away September 29, 2021 in Iowa City, Iowa. She was 71 years old. Cynthia’s family will receive guests for visitation at Gay and Ciha Funeral and Cremation Service on Saturday, October 16th, from 10 am – 12 pm. Cynthia was born January 27, 1950 in Chicago, Illinois, the daughter of Sylvester and Mary (Pappas) Hedge. Cynthia was a kind and humble person who exuded warmth to those around her. She loved gardening, the outdoors, and animals, particularly birds, dogs, and horses. Cynthia loved her family and her church (LIFEchurch in Coralville). Cynthia is survived by her son, Tayte Butler; grandson, Maverick Butler; mother, Mary Hedge; and siblings, Nicholas (Mary) Hedge and Peggy (the late Del) Anderson; Nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews in Illinois, Wisconsin, and Arkansas, and her many friends within her church family. Sadly, Cynthia is preceded in death by her husband, Chris Anderson; and son, Jonathon Butler. Please continue to keep Cynthia’s family in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.
