Obituary of Kathryn M. Buck

Kathryn M. Buck, age 86, longtime resident of Iowa City, died at her home Tuesday, October 5, 2021. There will be a time of visitation on Friday, October 8th from 12 noon till 2pm at Gay & Ciha Funeral and Cremation Service, followed by burial at Memory Gardens Cemetery. She married Norman C. Buck on March 3, 1951, in West Branch. The couple has lived in this area since their marriage. Kathryn worked for several companies throughout her working career including, HyVee, United Technologies, Victor Metals and Proctor & Gamble. She enjoyed camping trips with her family, fishing, the outdoors, occasional visits to the casino, and the last number of years her Fridays with her daughter and son. Her family includes her two children, Deborah Meverden (Erik), and Norman Buck Jr. “Butch”; step-children, Jessica Zmolek and Nick Dean (Govanna); 8 grandchildren, Gary Stout, Michael Klinzman, Daniel Klinzman, Jessie Klinzman, Joseph Klinzman, Joshua Klinzman, Christopher Buck and Samantha Buck; 3 great-grandchildren, Molly Klinzman, Colt Klinzman and Evan Klinzman; 1 great-great-granddaughter, Rain; siblings, Carol Carney, Dorothy Rude, Suzie Kintz, Steve Klintz, Bud Klintz and Dave Klintz. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and son, Terry.
