Condolences
Kay and family--I am so very sorry to hear about your mom. She was warm and gracious to us in our college days! Love, Gale (Seymour)
I served with Charlotte on the National Board of Extension Home Economists back when I lived in Alaska, under the name Barbara Eichner. Charlotte was always the thoughtful and 'due-process' type of President that you hopes runs an organisation like ours! A role model for upcoming leaders, that's for sure.
I'm sorry to hear of her untimely passing and send my deepest sympathy to Wilbur and all the family. Her dedicated professionalism has left a legacy not to be duplicated.
Heartfelt prayers being sent to the family of this kind, classy lady. . .will miss her. . .
My deepest sympathies to all of Charlotte's family. She was a kind, generous, talented and wonderful lady. I always enjoyed visiting with her whenever I saw her-usually at a 4-H event. She was a wonderful example and mentor for youth and adults. Her legacy will live on in her family who learned from her. I know you all have beautiful memories of time spent with Chalotte.

My dear Aunt Charlotte will always be remembered by me as a loving, fun, outspoken, and energetic person (as is true of ALL my aunts, uncles, and cousins...What a Family!!). She had an engaging personality, sharp mind, and spoke with a voice that was a combination of knowledge and wit. In our family trips to Iowa, we often found ourselves overnighting at Charlotte and Wilbur's wonderful farm-home, where laughter and food intermixed as we shared our more recent activities and happenings. She was very close to my Mom, and very kind to my wife, Melissa, and our children. Proud of her family and grandchildren, Charlotte often would discuss them prior to stating anything about herself, while sharing her happiness, concerns, and love for them all. In my later years, I would occasionally call her to inquire about her memories and advice when researching our genealogy, and she always found time to give me her thoughts and/or direction, regardless of how busy her schedule was. In my younger years, when I was a very energetic and curious kid, I recall her patience, kindness, and guidance, while laughing heartily at my nearly annual mishaps and my parents frustration, especially when I would investigate the farm, often in good shoes or clothes that I was not to get dirty (one time with Uncle Wilbur egging me on!) :-). I will miss that laugh of hers!
Charlotte has set a wonderful example of how to live one's life for us all. I will miss her dearly, but regrettably, will not be present for her Celebration of Life. My condolences to my cousins, Kay, Mike, Barb and their families.
You all have my deepest sympathy. I always thought the world of both of your parents. I always enjoyed my chats with Charlotte. She was a special lady that will deeply missed by all.

Having breakfast with Charlotte was the bright spot of every day. She always came down with a cheerful smile and a warm and happy greeting for everyone she saw. She gave special meaning to the term, Christian lady. We will remember and miss her observations, insights, and comments.

I remember Charlotte from a workshop that I attended when I was in high school. She was so impressive to me, as she was so well-dressed, articulate and professional. I decided after that evening that I wanted to be an extension home economist. I did graduate from ISU with a degree in home economics education, but I ended up teaching for 35 years rather than doing extension work. I have been involved with 4-H for many years, so I've kept the connection to extension. I believe we were all blessed to know her and learn from her.
I remember Charlotte in Extension when we farmed many years ago and always being impressed with her energy and endless meetings. Then I went to work in the Area Extension office as a Livestock Specialist and was privileged to call her a colleague and friend and realized that I had never seen anyone with so many meetings and connections. Tireless, knowledgeable and professional in all my interactions with her. To all the family and those closer to her than I, you have my prayers and condolences for the loss of a life well lived in service to others. LaMar
To all the family,
I remember Charlotte well as the ultimate ISU Extension worker, always concerned about the well-being of the individual. She was a wonderful role-model for many of us, and will be greatly missed. She holds a special place in the hearts of so many of us. You have my deepest condolences.

To all the family, so sorry for your loss. I remember charlotte a long time ago when I was young having the greatest smile of anyone I've ever known. Yes she worked hard all the time and it seemed back then she was crisscrossing the state in her job. Whirlwind comes to mind. I also recall the big gatherings of family at the many celebrations on the farm. Just remember all she gave for you and others. Very classy lady. DEAN
