Anthony "Tony" Rios Sr.
1944 - 2019
Condolences
Many years ago tony was our mail carrier. He always had a smile and brightened our day.
A very nice man.
So sorry to hear of Tony’s passing. I didn’t know him as well as his younger brothers but I have nice memories of him playing basketball for the Regals against my alma mater, City High at the Fieidhouse at tournament time.
So sorry for your loss my deepest sympathy for your family
I met Tony at the Wellman Scofield Public Library when he had come in to use the computer there. He was so outgoing and friendly. I noticed his presence when working as a crossing guard. Every time I happened to "run into" him. I felt like I was running into an old friend. I am pleased to have known him. I pray that our Lord will comfort his loved ones who are still here on earth.

I want to extend my deepest sympathies to Tony's family & friends. I've known Tony for years, mostly through slow pitch softball and the rest of the "Rios Borthers". Always had LOTS of fun, laughs plus we won our share of games. Onward and upward my man and God Bless!

I will never forget all those summer days of joking with Tony as he delivered the mail to our block. On the really hot days, I would always fill up a glass of ice water for him to cool off. He was always smiling, always happy to see us and was just a genuinely good hearted guy. Even after I left for college, I would see him every now and then and he was always so fun to talk to. May he rest in eternal peace. The world has lost a good one. My condolences to the Rios family.
To the family of Tony,
I am saddened to hear of the passing of Tony. I have such good memories of Tony, as well as Thomas, Ray and Roy, of the good times we had at the Benton Street playground all those years ago. I send my heartfelt condolences to each of you.

My condolences to the Rios family. Tony and my brother Jack Neuzil were good friends at Regina.
Many moons ago, Tony was my little league softball coach. He was always kind and caring. One thing I will never forget was his laugh. May fond memories of Tony bring you comfort during this hard time. My heart goes out to your family.
Tony was a classmate of mine at St.Pat's and Regina. I am sad to learn of his passing. My prayers go out to his family. Everytime I saw him he was so kind to me. My health and the weather keep me from attending the visitation and funeral.
My friend Tony. What a great laugh!. He was our 'Mailman' at our store, Brandy's Vacuum, for years. He and my Dad and Mom, were good friends from the Store. I watched Tony play basketball many times. I still have never seen anyone else ( EVER) shoot free throws from the side of the free throw line!
Great guy. He served his Country. Tony and I were Dodger fans!
I'l miss Tony. My condolences to ALL of his Family.

May God bless all of you who are related or knew Tony. He was a good loving man and will be remembered by all who knew him.
I remember Tony because everybody called him my brother twin. I remember him because not only did he look like my brother Paul but mostly for his smile.
Know you will never stop remembering him, there will be a song, food, smell or a strangers smile. He is for ever in your hearts and will remain there until you see him again heaven.
Love you all and prayers.

It saddens me greatly to hear of his passing. His bigger than life personality always made my day brighter when I worked at Freemans. His smile and wave at the school crossing was always something my daughter and I looked forward to. Prayers to you all.
My thoughts and prayers are with you at this difficult time. Nobody will ever be able to replace him as a crossing guard for the school. He put a smile on my face every morning when I took my kids to school. He was a wonderful man!
Donna and family,
So saddened to hear of Tony’s passing, please accept my condolences. Seems like I’ve known him forever as a Regina kid, letter carrier and union officer. We must have played thousands of euchre games at lunch over the years at the Coralville station. He led a wonderful life, had the finest of families and touched many lives. Cherish your memories....
