Condolences
I was a student in one of Sue's classes at Boise State in the early 1970's, then later had the good fortune to be one of her friends and neighbors in SE Boise in the late 1970's.,
Sue was a wonderful, good natured professor who was able to explain technical concepts well to a myriad of student types....and I wasn't the best or brightest student.
During the time we lived across the street from her on Easton, (as I recall), my wife and I became good friends with Sue and enjoyed helping save wine bottles and labels for her wallpaper collage. We also enjoyed seeing her amazing collection of elephants and helped out by adding a few from some of our travel adventures.
Sue was a wonderful lady. The world is a better place for people like her.
With Sincere Condolences, Craig Alexander class of 1974, BBA Marketing.
Susan Brender will always be remembered as an outstanding educator, selfless department chair, and faithful and helpful colleague for all who had the pleasure to learn from her and work with her. She is truly missed. (Phil Fry, IT & SCM Department, Boise State University)
So sorry to see the notice in The Idaho Statesman. I was a student of Susan's at Boise State University in the late 90's. She taught me to code COBOL and became a friend during my time there. She was a wonderful woman and teacher who touched and influenced many people over the years. Thinking of her and her family during this difficult time.
Sue, Thank you for your incredible sense of humor and a laugh that was always a joy to hear. Thank you for helping proof my Master's Thesis back at the University of Iowa in 1968. Alfrieda and I thank you and Babe for the fun time together in Boise. Thank you for 50 + years of friendship. Enjoy your new life with the same gusto that you shared with all of us. In loving memory, Glen
