Phillip Phil Moeckli

Condolences
Dear Karen and family
Phil was always a thoughtful and stimulating conversation. His quick wit accompanied a true professional who was willing to challenge conventional wisdom with the overriding goal of strengthening public education and all who work as educators. I learned much from Phil and it was a special pleasure to know him. He was a truly an extraordinary and unique individual. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you and know that Phil's legacy includes the lasting contributions he made to so many of us. Peace.
I am so sorry that I can't attend Phil's memorial service in person. I've made a contribution in his honor to the Missouri NEA Charitable Fund which we started together when he was Missouri NEA's Exec and I was MNEA President. This fund is just one of Phil's many contributions to public education.
To Karen & family -
So sorry to learn of Phil's passing. He was an extraordinary guy and high school classmate. I have wonderful memories of both you and Phil. Thoughts and prayers for you and your family.

I was so blessed to have worked with Phil in Idaho. We worked our hearts out and were always there for each other. Phil kept us laughing. Such a sweet man. Phil made a difference in so many lives. Rest peacefully old friend.
To Phil's family,
Phil was my CEO at CEA for a short time but I always found him very interesting and fair. I want you to know I mean this in the very best complementing way, Phil was always thinking outside the box. At first it threw me but in a very short time I figured out how he always made staff get out of the old rut and do things they did not think or know they could do. I learned so much from him. Thank you for lending him to me. God bless all of you and always remember the good times you had together.
Sincerely,
Peggy Berry Mackey
My deepest condolences to all of Phil's family. He was an extraordinary man in his knowledge, wit, perspective, and amazing ability to stay calm and seek solutions. I had the opportunity to work with him through the NEA Western Region and my time on the NEA-NM Leadership team as a Board member and officer. I will remember his kindness and guidance he provided. May he rest in peace.
So sorry to hear that Phil has passed. He was a delightful person and a very valued colleague. My sincere condolences to Karen and the family.
Dear Karen, Jane, and Family,
Phil was just a wonderful guy. In my many years of Ledership at CEA, I had the pleasure of working with Phil numerous times. I love his sense of humor. Karen, I will never forget a shopping trip that you and I made in Tucson, while Phil and Dan Morris played golf. My sincerest condolences to all.
