I miss my cousin Cheryl. I have many memories of her and they will finish life with me. Cheryl taught me to dance on our front porch. We would collect 45’s and my little record player and on the porch we’d go. She could do all the dances and insisted I learn them. We’d laugh and laugh then walk downtown and reward ourselves with a cherry coke and fries at the local Woolworths Five and Dime. We spent hours walking and talking in the nearby neighborhoods because back then you could without fear. Go to the schoolyards and swing on the equipment. She was my late night phone partner and we’d talk for hours. Sometimes all I had to do was listen to her voice which was very soothing and I would doze off while she remained talking. We debated politics, all current events and always spoke of God. She has met him face to face now and I am happy for her but sad for me. I treasure the times we had together and small piece of me left with her. I love you Cheryl and you be there when I cross over.

My thoughts and prayers are with her remaining Siblings. She’s HOME!

To Cheryl's family and friends,

I just learned today of Cheryl's passing. She was a great friend to me and my kids during the 1980s and 90s -- especially in 1997-98 when I needed someone to lean on during my divorce and child custody battle. I will always look back fondly at our monthly "girls night out" -- Cheryl, Dorothy, Rita, and I. She loved her family deeply, and was always bragging about her beautiful kids. RIP Cheryl. <3
