I worked with Addison at the University of Iowa in ESL decades ago and very much enjoyed knowing him and his kindness, intelligence, and thoughtfulness. My condolences to Addison's family. "Chip" as I knew him during grade school at PS86 in Indianapolis was not only one of my best friends over 60 years ago, but one of the most interesting friends I had. We often talked of becoming archeologists together although that never happened for either of us. I'm sure he will be missed. My sympathies, Mike Stayton

I didn't know Addison very long or very well, but he showed real kindness to me during a difficult time in my life. His hugs and assurance helped me get through it. I will treasure the memory of a couple of conversations we had. He will be truly missed.
