Obituary of Alexander Sauceda Ruiz

Alexander Sauceda Ruiz 42, passed away in Iowa City at his home on September 21, 2018.

He was born January 30, 1976 in Davenport, Iowa to Virginia Sauceda and Guadalupe Ruiz Sr. Alex married Alicia Marie Segura in 1998 but later on divorced after 7 years.

Alex worked at Procter and Gamble for 5 years. He lived every day with a smile. Alex had a special connection with everyone he met. He enjoyed being with friends and family, cooking for everyone, playing dominoes, going to the library, listening to music and fishing. He made sure to be involved in our lives any way he could. He cherished every moment he had with the people he loved. Alex was always proud of who he was and who he had in his life.

Alexander leaves behind his mother Virginia Roach of Edinburg, Texas, his children Alejandra Renee Ruiz of DeWitt,  Iowa, Nina Angelica Ruiz of Iowa City, Iowa and Santos Gilberto Ruiz of West Liberty, Iowa and his granddaughter Savanna Marie Goldensoph of Dewitt, Iowa; his siblings Guadalupe Jr. and Lisa A. Ruiz of Davenport, Iowa, Santos Alberto Ruiz of Donna, Texas, Daniel Ruiz and Terri of Davenport, Iowa, Jeannie and Daryl Crockett of Rockport, Texas; his 11 nieces and nephews and 9 great nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his stepfather John Roach (Poppa John) and his grandparents.
