Condolences
So very sorry to hear of Lin's passing. He was such a delight to work with- a fellow Wildcat in Iowa.
The world has lost a witty and forthright person who was an important person in my life at Grain Processing!! Lin was an inspiration and a simple problem solver within a complex world of grain research. His presence and future contributions will be sorely missed! Above all else I considered him my friend and will never forget our especially close friendship that helped us survive the 12 hour days out in the plant during the labor unrest at Grain Processing in 2008! Even though we were both like fish out of water (imagine two PhD scientists out filling trucks with feed, loading rail cars with gluten and filling barges with grain), we not only got through the months of adventure, but we're congratulated on our achievements out in the plant!!
See you later, my friend!!!
Lin will be missed and remembered as a warm-hearted friend.
Our condolences to Lin’s beloved wife Linjing and family. Our thoughts will be with you at this difficult time.

From Liyue:
“Wang Lin, how could you leave us without my permission! I’m mad and very very sad. But I’m also glad that you are no longer suffering. RIP. Someday we will all meet again. Wang Liyue”
From Zhiyi:
“王琳,我们再见面的时候再一起拱猪!Lao Ma”
I have been very sad since I heard Lin Wang passed away. I lost a dear good friend of mine and am sad I will not get another chance to spend more time with him. I have known Lin for a very long time. Since he and his family moved to Iowa City, he joined us in playing volleyball in the Field House at the University of Iowa. For many years, we had lots of fun and enjoyed the game every weekend. Just about two and half years ago, we stopped playing volleyball since some friends left Iowa and others couldn’t play anymore for various reasons. I wished that if we continued to play volleyball, Lin might still have played with us.
He was a very nice and warm person. I enjoyed playing volleyball and watching games on TV with him.
I will miss him deeply!
Dear Linjing, Shirley and Mason,
We are so blessed to know your loved one Lin Wang.
Lin’s performance in Chinese New Year celebrations made our laugh. He volunteered in Iowa City Eels(ICE) Swimming meet food concession stand and made customers smiles. He made us and everyone around him happier.
Your loved one will always be with you, in your heart, in your soul, in every corner of every smile that comes with the memories of all those precious times you shared together. Because love never dies, but lives on in those who remember. May memories ease your sorrow. May time bring you peace.
With our deepest sympathy.
Haihong, Bin, Bob and Bill
