I spent my formative years growing up, in Hills. Kids of that era had a true mentor in Chappy. I couldn't count the number of kids who walked their bikes into that service bay and rode out with a fresh patch on that balky inner tube. Ice cold pepsi in the pop machine. We thought he was the greatest. RIP Wayne you were a champion of all of us. So sorry for your loss, Chapman's....
Wayne was one of the nicest people I have ever known, he always had a smile, and a helping hand. My first memories of Wayne were from the gas station. My bike broke down, flat tire or slipped chain and with a smile Wayne said" bring that over here and let me help you that" even though he had something else going on, he made time for others. I bought my first house was trying to do most of the work myself, but needed guidance, I called and asked Wayne for advise, he showed up at my house a few days later and showed me what I needed to do. God has gained a man of many skills, the best of which is kindness. Gods Speed Wayne, my condolences to Sheila, Dan and Gregg.
