We were saddened to hear of Dan's death when we got back from our vacation at Okoboji. Jane, I have been thinking more often of you lately with warm memoires and remembering when we were both healthier! And your 'little girls'. I will tell Sonja of their dad's death. I hope you are doing the best you can as am I. Joel came back from Omaha and lives in our basement until he decides to move out again. We tell everyone we have assisted living for when he has off, he does help us so much (he works nights). May the Lord fill the void in your lives with His comfort and love, for there still is a void even when he didn't know you or remember how much he loved you all. Carol and George <>< <>< <><

My condolences to his family and have always cherished my friendship with Dan. I will always remember our good times at Ottumwa High School and as roommates at Burlington Junior College and the University of Iowa. Dan was a very special person. Thank you, Dan, for sharing a part of your journey with me.

Dan will be sorely missed. It is ironic that August 26 was the day of the 60th anniversary dinner for the OHS class of 1957, and many of his old high school pals were there. As a classmate, a customer, when he was with the Physics Department, and a friend, Dan was a really good person. RIP Dan

So sorry for your loss. Dan was a true gentleman and a genuinely nice guy.
