Condolences
My heart and prayers go out to you, Rosemary, and your family. I think about how you helped make my parents' memorial service distinctive and memorable. I wish I could be with you for your father's service tonight. Linda
i'm am saddened to hear of Lenard's death. he will forever be one of the best memories of my job as a fellow mechanic at the U.
when i was hired by the U of I in 1989 as the first female apprentice mechanic in Residence Services, Lenard was one of the first mechanics i worked with and learned from. although he was leery of me in the beginning and i was somewhat intimidated by him, we wound up getting along just fine. he was an early roll model for me, from his very organized shop to his amazing knowledge. he had no tolerance for lay-in-bed students and would pound on their room doors first thing in the morning hollering "Maintenance!" in his deep voice and we would get in and get the work done no matter the student reaction. this amused me to no end and though Lenard was a quiet man in general, it was fun to see that twinkle in his eye and his chuckle when there was something worth laughing about.
i missed him greatly when he retired and was happy to see him when he came back for the yearly department picnic.
i know i will never forget him and i will always smile when i remember him.
i am very sorry for your loss.
Sending my prayers and thought to the whole Barenz family. I will always remember them welcoming into their home and family functions like I was their own. Loved Bonnie and Leonard and the Barenz family.

Rest In Peace, Lenard. You will always be remembered.
Sending love to my dear Uncle Lenard's family. He was very special to me. I have such fun memories of him, of Aunt Bonnie, and of you three cousins.
I especially love the memory of the visit there with daughter, Carrie. We sat up talking until four in the morning with Uncle Lenard, Rick, and Craig!
You three "kids" took such loving care of him. He was very proud of you all.
Hugs all around, Cousin Terry
I am so very sorry for your loss. May the fond memories of the times you shared bring you comfort and peace during this most difficult of times. We can look forward to the time mentioned at Isaiah 25:8 where God says He will wipe the tears from our eyes and swallow up death forever, my deepest sympathy to you all.
